Skin Routine Update

One of the best tips I’ve received is focusing on your skincare routine, so that your makeup simply enhances your natural beauty.

I am excited to share my updated, day and night, skincare routine. Although I still use much of the same products, I have changed when I use them. I was given expert advice to let your skin rest from the harsher treatments for a couple of days. I now have three days hard and three days soft that I rotate through.

Make up free skin

Morning Routine

ONE: CeraVe Face Wash, Hydrating Facial Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin

CeraVe gentle face cleanser removes face makeup, dirt, and excess oil without leaving skin tight or dry. After a night of sleep I do not necessarily have makeup to remove, but you want to make sure you are cleansing before applying your morning serums. This daily face wash is a lotion-like consistency, leaving skin moisturized and non-greasy.

THREE: CeraVe Ultra-Light Face Lotion Moisturizer with Sunscreen – SPF 30

A moisturizer with sunscreen, non-greasy formula, that spreads easily and won’t leave a chalky residue. It hydrates skin and leaves a matte finish.

FOUR: Active Hydration Bright Eye Complex

The best eye cream I have found thus far. One that actually reduces visible dark circles + under-eye puffiness over time. I do not sell Rodan and Fields so I believe it would randomly assign you to a consultant if you purchase. However, this link below will give you and I 10% off.

Evening Routine

Three Days Hard

ONE: CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Face Cleanser, Acne Treatment Face Wash

I have acne prone skin. This wash is intended to help prevent new acne from forming and allow blemishes to heal. It is a foaming cream that works to gently remove dirt, excess oil, and makeup. Really, truly helps slow my acne breakouts.

TWO: Derma Roller (Day one only of the three Hard Days)

This is at home microneedling. Microneedling can reduce wrinkles, diminish scarring, and tighten or rejuvenate loose or aging skin. Make sure you look up how to roll correctly, avoid active acne and make sure to keep it sanitized between uses.

THREE: L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives Hyaluronic Acid Serum

This instantly hydrates skin. It gives visibly plumped skin, reduces wrinkles, and boosts skin’s radiance. Let it dry before continuing next steps.

FIVE: Currently using REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream, I but also used CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream Face Moisturizer prior and it is a great product too!

Definitely use a cream rather than a lotion during the dry cold months.

What I Use As-Needed

One thing that I use on active acne or on my nose blackheads is Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment. This product can be very drying so use sparingly. Speaking of dry skin and blackheads, I use Tula’s Deep Exfoliating Scrub in the shower but only if it lines up with a hard day. Finally I started adding drops of TAN-LUXE The Face – Illuminating Self-Tan Drops to my night cream for a glow the next day. Be sure to wash your hands very well after.
