I wanted to give as many Christmas gift ideas I could this year. Aside from my 2021 Ultimate Gift Guide, I am sharing the gifts we chose for our family and friends. I like looking for all these different gift ideas and sharing what I find. It is really fun for me!
We will start with the most difficult person to shop for and the easiest person to shop for. My Father-in-law lands the hardest to shop for award. I think mainly because if he likes it/wants it he will buy it. If he hints at stuff throughout the year by time Christmas comes around he has already bought it. Here is what he is getting this year.
Here are some more Ideas for the men you find difficult to shop for.
I do have the code for MVMT watches 15% off your purchase (entire site): getdressedmidwest15
And the easiest person to shop for is my mom’s spouse. He makes an amazon list every year and my mom passes out the link so we can buy what he wants. Hence the easiest to shop for. Here is what we got him this year…
other items on his list. If you are a biker you might appreciate some of these listed.
My Mom is kind of like my father in law in. She usually will just buy what she needs. Especially if she hints at something early on in the year she will definitely have it by time the calendar hits December. Here is what we found her…
My mother in law can be hard to shop for just because we do not have a lot in common. We get along great but material wise we are a little different. However, one thing she always compliments me on is our home decor. She has asked me a few times for some decor ideas, so this Christmas our gift for her is paying for and setting up a gallery wall. The frames I am showing below is the exact layout we are doing but instead of a black photo ledge we will do an oak finish to match the other decor in her home. We will also print the photos to go in all the frames.
I have included some items that even if you and the other person you are buying for are polar opposites both would appreciate!
We do not normally buy gift for our grandparents because we do not see them on Christmas but this year Rob’s Grandma is joining us so we did not want her to feel left out. It was difficult to know what to buy her. We contemplated over several ideas and ended up going with a winter coat. I purchased two and we will decide which one in person. I did this because I loved the tan one but reviews say the zipper sucks. I added the blue one to my cart as back up…
These are the other items we almost got her instead…
Rob’s side of the family does gifts for all the nieces and nephews. We have one niece and one nephew to buy for this year. Our nephew will be four in January. Here is what we got him…
And here is what we bought our niece…
Next up, my siblings and our spouses draw names between us all to give a gift. I drew my brother in law this year but he will not be home for Christmas because he is working as a travel nurse currently. What I did was bought him a gift card and my sister will be going to his place in Arizona this weekend. She brought with her the gift card and gifts from her and my mom to hide around his apartment.
Rob drew my youngest sister so we have gifted her a loopy phone case and the best skin ointment ever for her baby arriving this January.
We do not draw names for my extended family’s Christmas but we all purchase a gift to play Dirty Santa with. If you are a girl you can bring a girl gift or a neutral gift and if you are a boy you can bring a boy gift or a neutral gift. This is what Rob and I are tossing in the pile this year…
My girlfriends and I also do a gift exchange. We do not buy for a specific person but play a game and see who ends up with what gift at the end. This is what I have in the exchange this year…
Here are some more Exchange gifts you can give…
And finally what we got Briar (17months) and what I got Rob…
